At Auction: 1966 BSA Lightning SOLD!
Malcolm McDowell tried to steal one in the film “if…”. James Bond battled one equipped with full fairings and rocket launchers in Thunderball (my fav Bond film). Ken Boon claimed one as his modern day Silver, and himself as the Lone Ranger. Now this shiny chrome British racer has reached literal rock star status. Currently owned by Richard Fortus of Guns N Roses fame, this BSA came to us in loving trust and care, to find a new adventure.
A true enthusiasts machine from the beginning the Lightning, manufactured by the Birmingham Small Arms company, boasts a claimed 52 bhp out of 654cc parallel twin. A close ratio gearbox, spirited cam, and twin carbs helps the Lightning achieve a top speed of 112mph. It’s relatively light, weighing in at just 395 lbs dry. This example runs, rides, and is always welcome in the jungle. Come check it out in our showroom and place a bid on BringaTrailer.com!
